POWER & RUIN

Power and ruin is a love song to the peripheral places, the modern ruins. The sprouts that emerge wildly from the cracks as a place of power for the emergence of other bodies. A performative investigation into the relations between power and the notion of ruin.

If one of the notions of the structures of power is to disempower bodies of their sensitive power, it is about this power being restored through the phenomenology of the ruin, the crack and the scar. The ruin as a place of rebellion, of possibility, where clandestine dances take place. A scenic anti-monument, ephemeral and in constant disappearance. An alchemical incantation to unmask the thief. A tale of domestic science. An incantation to regain power.

The other day I sneaked into a church on the verge of falling down and saw a ray of light strike a drop of water illuminating the whole room. Well, I'm not really from the city nor from the country, I'm from the wasteland.
