INVOCATION OF THE BODIES & ORGANS TO COME
BRUTAL - LA CALDERA
In the brutal meetings before the summer, Esther and Sergi realised that they shared a closeness in several of the topics they are researching, so they decided to work together for a few days and prepare a shared presentation of what has kept them busy.
After spending some time looking into the past to understand the present, Sergi has focused his interest on looking into the future: how can we imagine ourselves in the future? what can we predict about our body and what not? what movement will be the next one? how can a body expand, both into the future and in other directions?
Esther has been working for some time on the notion of ‘electromagnetic organs’, invoking organs that act as senders and receivers of waves and flows, enabling other sensorialities that open up perceptual fields, understanding the body as receptive matter that picks them up and passes through them.
The presentation will consist of a spoken part in which the process of each one will be explained, a part in which some of the materials that are being developed will be shown, and possibly a practice will be proposed to the people who come to La Caldera.
