MUDANÇA DO TEMPLO
What is a temple? A temple is a sacred place. Sacred means: that which is to be protected, honoured and respected. A place of protection. What is the ultimate mission, the purpose of a temple from the beginning? The true mission of a temple is to protect knowledge. How is it protected? Through a series of practices that allow access to other planes of reality. What are the subjects of these practices? The technology of body and space. The practical hypothesis is the following: it is possible to build a temple anywhere through these practices. The aim of the proposal is to build a nomadic temple through the performative act. A space within another space within another space. The intention is to re-signify the performative act, to recall the notion of ritual and its potential to transform bodies and society. To return to theatre as a place of congregation, its original raison d’être. To do this, reference is made to the intention of the theatre in its origins in classical Greece, where the theatre, as a space and as an act, was linked to a sanctuary.
